Here, the idea of measurement breakdown being a destructive force is investigated through the typographic metaphor of feet and inch marks.

The poster marks out 6 feet across its horizontal and vertical axes and the measurement lines indicate first feet and then increasing proximity of inches and parts thereof, as the reader navigates the words on the page.

The rhythm of the page changes to relative chaos as the increments get closer and closer. The focus on measurement here is also intended to reflect the lack of testing causing much of the confusion and misinformation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lastly, as the reader arrives at the end of the statement, the inch marks close together to create a flatline, and this is echoed in the backdrop of a facemask. The virus itself is represented by the disintegrating fractions on the lower-right of the composition, which sit over the mouth area of the facemask, suggesting the mode of transmission.
